This vest was developed in coordination with See-Bak Inc. and the NYPD. The final design was approved by the NYPD’s Highway Patrol Division, endorsed by the Commannding Officer and approved by the Uniform Standards Committee. This vest has been modified, field tested and approved by the New Britain Connecticut Emergency Medical Services.

The basic features are:
Vest color should not detract from appearance of paramedics -- must have 360 degree visibilty -- One size fits all: 32” to 44” waist, 5’8” to 6’4” height -- Fits over winter coat -- quick to put on -- must have safety tear away features -- Vest to be reversible --. The vest is made of supplex material and uses Reflexite reflective median The back side has two Reflexite panels: the top panel is rectangular with the “Star of Life” logo imprinted on it. The bottom panel is imprinted with E M S.
